BIOS-Info
With certain combinations of processor and mainboard, the correct version of the BIOS or UEFI is crucial. If you have the wrong version, the system may not start and you will not even be able to access the BIOS, let alone the operating system. This problem primarily affects mainboards that support processors of different generations. In the best case, the latest version is sufficient to support all processors. However, many mainboards require a separate BIOS or UEFI for each processor generation. This means that the appropriate version must be installed BEFORE changing the processor. So please check in advance which version you need and whether you have the possibility for an appropriate update. If you are unsure or would like to save yourself the work, you are of course welcome to use our update service.
